Jean Daniel Colombani

I was born in Nirva of Spain and live in Athens for the last 16 years. Ιspent my school years in Marseille, where I was graduated from the 1st High School of Marseille in 1996. I graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies of the French University of Amiens, continuing my studies at the School of Professional Journalism in France. Among the most significant moments of my early life while studying journalism were the interviews with the President of Libya and President of the African Union Mouamer Al Kadafi and with the former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. My academic quest continued in Political Science.

Biography

Since 2000, I am working in international newspapers throughout the world. In 2002, I was a correspondent for the Arabic Channel Aljazeera. Until 2004, I was publisher of the newspaper “Le monde Hellas” and since 2005 I was publisher of newspapers in 7 languages that are distributed in countries of The European Union.

In 2006-2007, I was an accredited correspondent in Brussels, while in 2008 I was a correspondent for the French channel FRANCE24 (Arabic section). Moreover, I am a member of The Foreign Journalists Association of Greece. My involvement with the common, starts from my student years when I was twice president of the seven-member council of the “Free Youth”. I participated in the struggle for the completion of the education law of 2000 in Morocco (Casablanca). From November 2008, until May 2012, I was Chairman of the Immigration Union of Greece (I.U.G) where I was involved with a number of proposals to Change the Migration policy of Greece.

Since June 2012, Iam chairman of the Foreign journalists of Greece. I participated in many conferences and training events such as ” European Youth Forum – cofounder of YM+” , “European Integration Forum”, “International Visitor Leadership Program Of State Department of USA”, “Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Event in Denmark” and “The Conference of the Parties of United Nations Against Organised Crime” , “The Conference of the Parties of United Nations Against Organized Crime» and “Combating Discrimination, Violence and Intolerance based on Religion and National Origin”. I was a collaborator of the Ministry of Public Order, and served as Special advisor of Minister of Health from August 2013 until 2014. I am a father of three children, Emilie, Emmanuelle and Odysseus. I am fluent in Greek, French, English, Romanian, Russian, Italian, Spanish and Arabic.
