The Obama Foundation hosted a town hall in Berlin, Germany with President Barack Obama and hundreds of emerging leaders from across Europe. The town hall continued the conversation about the importance of community leadership and civic engagement — and how the Obama Foundation can support emerging leaders in their efforts.

President Barack Obama: If you want to see progress both in your society and you, you have to invest like a businessman in a start-up, you need to invest in concentrating on building new thoughts.
There are more risks and there will be more obstacles, and I believe very much in that. My belief is that investing in yourself is the best investment.

And what I can do best is to pay attention to the work you do and I can inspire you periodically, but your job will talk about you, and most importantly, to change the world you have to invest in yourself.
