Ancient Greece is the primary source of reference in the “mother feast”. It was a feast of spring where Gaia, mother Earth, mother of all gods and men was worshiped.
It is a special day of the year where we celebrate the role of motherhood. But it is also a day of reasoning because raising a child requires dedication, care, and often sacrifices.
The presence of the mother in our lives is decisive and irreplaceable. She is the person who brought us to the world, she took care of us, supported our dreams, stood by our side, consoled us, made us guilty, saw us grow up and take our way.
Few flowers, a smile, a kiss, and a simple “thank you” may be little to gratify our gratitude for all that it offers us. But it is enough to make her happy.
